Missions

11/12/2023 -

In Matthew 28:16-20, Jesus instructs his disciples to spread the gospel to all nations, making disciples as they preach, baptize, and teach. A missionary is sent by a church with the authority coming from God himself. As Christians, we are all called to be missionaries, using our talents and abilities for God's kingdom wherever we are. Some people are specifically called to cross-cultural missions, planting the gospel in a target culture. Missionaries often journey to spiritually dark and hostile places, leaving behind the comforts of home to bring salvation to those who have never heard the gospel. They serve as a light in the darkness, spreading the good news and making disciples until it expands throughout the culture and beyond.
