"Step back in time to 1926, where radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie a global icon, and luminous watches the height of fashion—until the girls painting them fell mysteriously ill. Based on a true story, Radium Girls follows Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she takes on her former employer in a courtroom battle. With warmth and humor, this fast-paced ensemble piece unveils a gripping tale of justice, corporate intrigue, and the peculiar American obsessions of the time. Critics call it a "powerful" and "engrossing" drama—with a wry exploration of health, wealth, and the commercialization of science." From the play's website.
We will meet in front of the DeVries Theater located in the Stevens Student Center at Cedarville University (see map below) February 15 at 1:30 p.m. The play starts at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 each.
