Adult Sunday School

There are three Adult Sunday School options for the Winter 2023-2024 Quarter:

“Identity: Life in Christ” A Study in Ephesians   Teacher: Mark Gainer
As believers, our identity is wrapped up in Christ. Continuing from the Fall Quarter, this course expounds on that essential truth and helps participants better understand how to live it out each day. Learners will grow in their appreciation of God's grace and be better equipped to meet His purpose for their “new” lives in Christ.

Serving God with a Heart of a Servant Teachers: Pastor Miller and Mike Dantzer
A growing believer is a serving believer. In these twelve sessions participants will learn what the Bible says about being a true servant. Throughout the study, the focus will be on the place you serve, the persons you serve, the purpose for service, and how to prepare for service within the church.

Humbled and Hopeful: Job Teachers: Keith Huffman, Mike Greenwood, and Dana Love
This study traces Job's response to his tragedy, his interaction with his "friends," his arguments before God, his humbling, and his restoration. Participants will be challenged to respect and fear God's greatness while trusting His goodness.

Children’s Sunday School

There is no need to register children this semester; classrooms are all ready for them.

Nursery: Infant to 2 Years Old - Our workers are trained to provide a safe, loving, and secure environment for all children.  We provide both a secure and sanitary nursery in order to allow parents to give their full attention toward worshiping and serving Berea.

Toddlers: 2 and 3 Year Olds - Taught by Beth Kitchen. Our toddlers will learn learn about the birth of Jesus, God's Son; His growth from a baby to a man; and His miracles. Children will be encouraged to love the wonderful Son of God because He loved them first.

Beginners: 4 and 5 Year Olds (Kindergarten) - Taught by Cierra Phillips. Our “Beginners” will learn that God directed Jesus' birth, childhood, and ministry as part of His plan to save the world. Without Jesus, no one could be saved from sin. Students will respond to the offer of salvation and express their thanks to God for sending Jesus to be the Savior of the world. 

Primary: 1st and 2nd Grade - Taught by Jeannette Miller. First and second graders will learn how God cared for Ruth and directed her life so the royal line through which Jesus was born might continue. They will also learn to know, love, and trust God through the lives of Saul, David, and Solomon. 

Middlers: 3rd and 4th Grade - Taught by Ellen Williams. Third and fourth graders will be learning about the different names of God and His character revealed through them.

Juniors: 5th and 6th Grade - Taught by Victoria Greenwood. Junior students will study the book of John to learn all about Jesus, the Word Who became flesh. Students will learn that Jesus lived a perfect life, has the power to transform sinners, satisfies our deepest longings, provides for our greatest needs, cares for us like a good shepherd, gives us joy as we serve Him, and provided for our redemption from sin. 

Junior High/High School: Grades 7-12 - Taught by Justin Schlatmann. This quarter, Berea’s youth group will be finishing their study on the book of James and then will study some of the common misconceptions about the Bible.
