The Berea Iron Works

All men (youth group age and older) across our church family are invited to join us as we dive into God's Word, pursue Christ-centered discipleship, and build strong fellowship together. The Berea Ironworks is designed as a multi-year initiative focused on systematic growth, character formation, and biblical leadership. This upcoming ministry year marks the beginning of our journey, featuring Phase 1 (Fall/Winter 2026) and Phase 2 (Winter/Spring 2027), with additional phases and deeper study to follow in future years. While the curriculum builds sequentially over the years, each meeting stands on its own as a valuable time of Bible study and fellowship. Men and young men are welcome to jump in at any time throughout the year.

The vision of The Berea Ironworks is rooted in two foundational Scripture passages:

Proverbs 27:17 (ESV): "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another."
Acts 17:11 (ESV): "Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so."

The goal of this initiative is simple: to cultivate stronger men, foster healthier families, and make a greater Kingdom impact—passing down a legacy of godly character to the next generation. This initiative is open to all men of Berea Bible Church and even those in our local community who want to be mentored, grow in their faith, and stand alongside mature men of God. Whether you are a young man preparing for adulthood, a young father, or a seasoned saint, there is a place for you at the table.

Our first-year schedule is divided into two distinct phases:

Meeting 1 (Oct 31, 2026): Foundational Convictions
Meeting 2 (Nov 14, 2026): Discipleship
Meeting 3 (Nov 21, 2026): The Raw Materials
Meeting 4 (Dec 5, 2026): Making Granite out of Clay
Meeting 5 (Dec 12, 2026): A Man of Prayer
Meeting 6 (Jan 16, 2027): A Man Who Flees Temptation
Meeting 7 (Jan 23, 2027): A Man Who Fears the Lord

Phase 2
Meeting 8 (Feb 6, 2027): A Man of Humility
Meeting 9 (Feb 20, 2027): A Man of Contentment
Meeting 10 (Mar 6, 2027): A Man of Honesty
Meeting 11 (Mar 20, 2027): A Man of Moral Purity
Meeting 12 (Apr 17, 2027): A Man Who Treasures Christ
Meeting 13 (May 1, 2027): A Man Who Speaks the Truth
Meeting 14 (May 15, 2027): How Should We "Do" Ministry?
Meeting 15 (May 22, 2027): Church for His Glory
Meeting 16 (June 5, 2027): The Peril of Manufacturing Growth (Last meeting before summer break)

Each meeting starts promptly at 8:00 AM and concludes by 9:30 AM. You can look forward to:

Biblical Teaching: Grounding ourselves in sound doctrine and practical Christian living.
Sharpening Discussion: Honest, encouraging dialogue in small groups across generations.
Prayer & Brotherhood: Standing together in accountability and uplifting one another.

We recognize that showing up every scheduled Saturday morning is a real commitment of your time and energy. But now more than ever, men need each other, and the body of Christ needs men who are committed to standing together. We cannot afford to walk alone. To lead our families, serve our church, and impact our culture, we must unify, hold each other accountable, and lock arms in brotherhood. We need your presence, your voice, and your commitment.
