David Poteet

David Poteet asks for prayer for his nephew Wesley, his sister’s son. He will have back surgery in Florida at 7:00 a.m. on October 7, 2026.

September 28, 2026: from Pastor Mark: "[Jovie] went back to campus this morning! She's doing really well! Pray that she's able to catch up on class time missed!"

September 23, 2026: From Pastor Mark - "Jovie is home as of yesterday afternoon. She continues to be on antibiotics but things have improved! She's still in some pain but is able to move around some. She'll go back to [Cedarville] after the weekend as long as she continues to improve!"

September 21, 2026: This update from Pastor Mark - "Jovie is still in the hospital. A couple of praises—the infection is not in the joint at this point. Also, the blood cultures are coming back negative right now which is good. They still don’t know what is causing the infection. Her pain is some better this morning but still can’t bear weight on her leg."

September 19, 2026: Pastor Mark's daughter Jovie is being admitted to Nationwide Children's hospital tonight because of a leg infection. She needs IV antibiotics and close monitoring. He plans to still teach Sunday School and preach during the service tomorrow and will then immediately return to the hospital to be with her. Please pray for both Jovie and he entire Gainer family.
