We are located at the corner of Ohio State Route 334 and Derr Road in north Springfield, 3850 Derr Rd, Springfield, Ohio.

There is plenty of parking with handicap spots close to the worship center.

Welcome! Here’s how to find us when you arrive.

You’ll see two entrances at the front of the building:

• The entrance on the right leads straight into the Family Life Center, where we hold our Sunday morning worship service.
• The entrance on the left goes into the Education Wing.

For worship, please use the right entrance into the Family Life Center. This door closes at 10:00 a.m. when the service starts, so if you arrive after 10:00 a.m., please use the Education Wing entrance.

The whole building is on one level, so there are no stairs to worry about. As soon as you walk in, our greeters will be there to welcome you, answer any questions, and help you find a seat.

Berea is a single-story building with accessible parking and an entrance that accommodates wheelchairs. Several members who use wheelchairs, crutches, or canes regularly attend our services.

• 8:30 a.m. Doors are open for coffee and fellowship.
• 9:00 a.m. Full Sunday School program for the whole family.
• 10:00 a.m. Worship services in the Family Life Center 

If you have children, we recommend coming at 8:30 to get registered and meet their teacher. When you arrive, talk to the greeters and they will help you find the right classroom.

On Sunday mornings, we gather in the Family Life Center, a welcoming space that serves our church family for worship, shared meals, and even a little basketball during the week.

Our worship style is a blend of contemporary Christian songs, cherished traditional hymns, and choruses, creating a warm atmosphere where everyone can lift their voices in praise. Services typically last between 60 and 90 minutes and are designed to be meaningful, accessible, and centered on God’s Word.

The size of a typical Sunday morning worship is between 100 and 200 people and includes all ages from newborn to elderly and many extended families have chosen Berea as their home.

There isn't a dress code and those who attend feel comfortable and welcome wearing casual attire or dress clothes. Our focus is on worshipping and fellowship, not clothing.

No. You will find our congregation welcoming and friendly and we encourage you to introduce yourself and get acquainted with those you meet and near you. We occasionally ask everyone in the congregation to stand and introduce themselves to those near them.

You are also encouraged to fill out a visitor's card so we can welcome you and send you information about church activities. You always have full control over any communications from Berea.

You will find warm fellowship after the service and people typically mingle to speak with the pastor about the worship service and to each other. Many people will stay to fellowship and help pick up chairs if the Family Life Center is used for other activities like Awana during the week.

Yes, we have a great children’s ministry at Berea!

Our Sunday School program starts at 9:00 a.m. and includes a nursery for our youngest children. You can learn more about our children’s programs HERE.

During the worship service, children are always welcome to stay with their families. We also have a nursery available the entire time, and during the sermon we offer Children’s Church for kids ages 2–5.

We offer Awana, a national children’s ministry, in the Family Life Center on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm for children ages 3 through the 6th grade during the school year. This program is dedicated to fun, games, Bible teaching, and Bible memorization that helps strengthen children’s Christian character development.

Yes! Don’t let your hearing difficulties prevent you from enjoying the worship service.

We have hearing assistance devices available for you that are easy to use and will amplify the sound of the sermon, the music, and the prayers.

Just ask at the media desk and they will gladly assist you. You will be amazed by how much clearer and louder everything sounds. Come and experience the joy of hearing God’s message with us!

Berea is a non-denominational, caring cross-section of believers from all walks of life who emphasize meaningful connections, particularly during times of special needs. To us, that means we take time to know, pray, foster relationships, and show interest in the needs of other Berea families. Preaching is biblically sound, interesting, applicable to life and will keep your attention. Berea Bible Church affirms the Holy Scriptures as verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the originals, and the supreme authority for faith and practice when interpreted historically and grammatically. We believe God created the heavens and earth in six literal twenty-four-hour days and that views denying this are serious errors against His glory.

We believe in one God eternally existing in three co-equal persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who convicts of sin, regenerates, baptizes believers into Christ’s body, indwells, seals, fills, and guides them into truth.

We believe Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became sinless man by the virgin birth, died as substitutionary sacrifice for all mankind, rose bodily, and ascended as High Priest and Advocate.

We believe mankind is totally depraved and that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, with all believers eternally secure by God’s power.

The Church is the body and bride of Christ consisting of all born-again persons; local churches are autonomous. Yes, visitors and non-members are welcome to take part in communion here.

Communion is a special time when Christians share bread and grape juice to remember how Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose again. If you have trusted Jesus as your Savior and are trying to follow Him, you are invited to join us, no matter what church you usually attend or if you’re not a member here. Before you take part, the Bible asks us to pause and make sure we are right with God and not holding on to sin in our lives.

You are welcome to give during the church service if you wish, but there is no obligation to do so. We pass an offering plate as part of our worship time. However, many people choose to give in other ways, such as online, by mailing a gift to the church office, or by placing it in the offering box outside the Family Life Center.
